Our Water Boiler

One day during dinner, we heard some crackling and smelled some smoke. Luckily Jacob was home and was able to run to the safety box to flip the switch. It seems that our water boiler had just sparked and the electrical was starting to burn. Now, before a fire would have started the safety would have shut itself off, but I would rather not have had to find out the hard way if the safety on the water boiler worked properly or not after so many years. We found out that the boiler was over 20 years old and had so much calcium built up in it that that's what caused it to short.
Here is Jacob putting in our new boiler. Notice we need to paint the wall and ceiling now b/c it's smaller than the older one although it holds the same amount of water.
